We were delighted to see Flintshire Planning Committee finally approve a scheme for 90 dwellings at New Brighton, Mold following a previous committee deferral back in November 2023. The Officers at Flinthsire did a sterling job in helping secure the resolution to approve after a heated debate with Members during the Planning Committee debate. This was the longest planning project Hourigan Planning has been involved in and a lot of work went into this site over the years by Marc Hourigan and Niall Mellan including dealing with two planning applications, an appeal and defending the site’s allocation during the LDP Examination. Hats off to the wider consultant and client team who helped address many of the concerns raised by residents including a safe route to school, drainage and ecology matters.  The team were disappointed to hear that the applicant, Stewart Milne Homes, entered into administration during the final stages but no doubt this will be an attractive site for another developer to see through.
