Following recent receipt of the Decision Notice, Hourigan Planning can now announce that we successfully achieved full planning permission for 18 affordable homes on behalf of Bowsall Development.

Working with their joint partner, emh Group, the client was thrilled to achieve planning permission for the scheme in the village of Breedon-on-the-Hill, nestled between Swadlincote and Castle Donnington.

The site came with some challenges, but working alongside a great team of technical consultants, Hourigan Planning was able to achieve a positive recommendation from Officers to the Planning Committee and then secure the resolution to approve following a presentation by Associate Director, Beverley Moss, at the committee itself. Credit needs to be given to the Planning Officer at North West Leicestershire District Council who was really approachable and pragmatic.  Following detailed design discussions which resulted in some improvements to the overall scheme, the final product will deliver some much-needed affordable housing homes in a very popular village.

Sometimes it’s the smaller schemes that require the most attention to detail!  But the contribution that 18 new affordable homes will make to the local community cannot be underestimated.
