Hourigan Planning has secured planning permission for a 72,000 sq ft employment scheme in Bredbury on behalf of long-standing client Chancerygate.  The site is undeveloped, greenfield land but is allocated as an Employment Area for new industrial and commercial development uses in Stockport’s Local Plan.  There were various issues that needed addressing throughout the course of the application including neighbour amenities (due to the close proximity of neighbouring dwellings), highways, accessibility, ecology and drainage.  Working closely with the applicant and consultant team, we successfully persuaded the Council’s Officers to recommend that planning permission was granted.  Marc Hourigan appeared at the Council’s Werneth Area Committee and presented the scheme to Members before the scheme was then discussed at the Council’s Planning and Highways Committee which resolved to approve the application.
