Hourigan Planning is preparing a full planning application on behalf of Bowsall Developments Ltd and EMH Group for a proposed 100% affordable housing scheme on land north of Old Hackney Lane, Matlock.  The site is allocated for residential development in the Derbyshire Dales Local Plan 2017 (Policy HC2 (i)).

We are now undertaking consultation on the draft proposals so that the local community has an opportunity to engage in the process prior to a formal planning application being submitted.

Comments received will be used to inform and refine the full planning application before it is submitted to Derbyshire Dales District Council.

When the planning application has been submitted, the Council will notify surrounding residents as part of their own statutory consultation process.  You will then have a further opportunity to submit formal comments on the proposals directly to the Council.

Please note that since the start of the consultation period, the site layout has been updated as of the 15th December 2022 and so as a result, the consultation event will now end on the 6th January 2023. All consultation material on this page has been amended to reflect this.

Please be advised that whilst the same number of dwellings are proposed, the proposed development has purely been updated to include a more diverse range of house types, including bungalows and walk up flats.
